Here in Clearwater and Tampa Bay, we love our pools. As summer’s swelter sets in, we need a place to cool off, and like kids, we don’t want to leave the pool once the sun sets. Actually for many of us, we may not even have an opportunity for a dip until evening, after work and dinner is done. So pool area lighting is the perfect addition for our homes. Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Clearwater & Tampa Bay has been installing pool area lighting for many years, and we have often written about it. You already know that we use a variety of fixtures and techniques to illuminate this outdoor space, but today, we want to talk about two fixtures you may not have considered for your pool area before.
The BB-02 Antique Brass Deck Light – This little fixture packs a powerful punch. It is extremely small 1.75” x 3.18”, but when mounted three feet off the ground, it can illuminate up to six feet! Because of its compact size the BB-02 will fit in areas that were previously too small to accommodate an outdoor lighting fixture. It can also be placed in a wet location, which makes it perfect for the pool area. Splashes won’t damage it. Finally, the BB-02 is an LED fixture, making it energy efficient and long lasting. It is an excellent choice to place under a small waterfall or along railings.
Path Lights – Your pool area may have more decking than actual paths, but path lights can be utilized in a variety of areas that are mulched or graveled. Path lights are beneficial in that they provide optimal illumination along the ground. This is very important in the pool area where a trip could mean an injury or a frightening experience if a guest does not know how to swim. Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Clearwater & Tampa Bay has a variety of path light options, giving you a number of height and style options. Path lights are the perfect near the edges of the pool deck, especially if flowers or foliage are nearby.
Whether you just haven’t gotten around to adding pool area lighting or your pool area is unique enough you thought lighting would be problematic, call Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Clearwater & Tampa Bay today. No job is too challenging, and we relish the opportunity to design for such properties. Our inventory of fixtures gives us many options, so no matter the challenge, we can elevate the look of your pool area while making it safer to navigate.
