We had the opportunity recently to partner with the fabulous FlameStone American Grill that serves fresh and flavored dishes in a beautiful setting. The interior space (not to mention the menu), is to-die-for with its elegant design throughout, and the owners wanted an equally inviting and exciting exterior to the restaurant façade as well. They reached out to us to help them strategize a plan for their outdoor lighting, and they were thrilled with the outcome.
When we began working with FlameStone, their existing lighting system and equipment were in pretty rough shape and not adding enough evening pizzazz. We were able to save them some pennies by moving some of their current fixtures to different locations, upgrading them to low consumption LED’s for additional cost savings over time, and then adding new lower wattage fixtures to the front of the restaurant for a dose of color.
Our goal with FlameStone Grill was to ensure that the ambiance on the inside and outside were cohesive in terms of vibe and feel. They have a grouping of palm trees out front that we knew we could highlight with fabulous uplighting so their fronds would show terrific texture. We felt this would go hand in hand with the dimensional wall treatments they have inside the restaurant to mimic the same effect. We just loved the way the light made the interior wavy walls shimmer, and we knew that illuminating the palms would have a similar effect outside.
We were able to take some of the other trees and add a splash of red color that copied the lighting and colors used in their signage to really pull everything together. We lit the trunk of a very tall palm in the center bed to draw attention upwards for big WOW factor attraction that didn’t cost a lot of money. It stands out and draws a lot of attention to FlameStone from even a good distance down the road. We can’t emphasize enough how inexpensive it is to use outdoor light as an affordable method for drawing eyes to your business.
